About Us
Changemakers Africa Youth Empowerment, a faith-based non-profit founded in 2002, seeks to create sustainable platforms for community transformation in Africa. Our focus is on utilizing local resources and harnessing the potential of youth. We value partnerships with individuals and organizations, whether local or non-local, who align with our vision for impactful projects.

Our Objectives
- To mentor, train and empower youths and other population groups on viable economic empowerment and financial planning practices.
- To continuously foster partnership with churches, Christian groups and other organizations, towards building positive moral values and standard within communities.
- To identify and harness indigenous human and material resources for sustainable community transformation.
- To effectively advocate and mobilize communities for the promotion of local-level good governance.
- To create adequate local-level awareness, mobilize communities on contemporary health issues and essential practices for healthier environmental and better hygienic practices.
Our Thematic Areas & Impact Report
Smart Agriculture and Food Security
In the 2023 year, our CHANGEMAKERS FARMERS GROUP was approved as local implementing partner to the World Bank Ogun State (OGSTEP) food security project for which we facilitated 60 hectares of land for Cassava cultivation for community small-holder farmers( 70% male/youths and 30% female/youths).22 hectares are maturing for harvest, 8 hectares lost to cow herders and the balance suspended for high-community risk reasons.
Youth Leadership and Development
We partner with Nigerian churches, student organizations, and mission agencies to facilitate spiritual retreats, provide educational scholarships, support orphanages and prison ministries, advocate for youth inclusiveness, and provide financial planning seminars. We use technology to reach about 3,500 young people directly and focus on Agripreneurship. Exciting possibilities await us in 2024.
Partnership With Churches and Faith Communities
We are grateful for the support from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria-Lagos State and the Office of the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Nigeria. Our focus with them is to promote the innovative INTEGRAL MISSION tool pioneered by TEARFUND, which guarantees community and church transformation. We have trained over 400 church leaders, but this is less than 0.5% of our target audience, so there is much work ahead.
Capacity Building For SMEs
Our focus is on wealth creation and fundraising through education, workshops, and our two key books: “The Twelve Laws of Wealth Creation” and “Fund Raising As Fun.” We also encourage the formation of self-help groups and have launched a digital online learning platform. Our efforts have resulted in CHANGEMAKERS COOPERATIVE members accessing over N10 million in soft loans from the Federal Government SME support programs.
